This one should be obvious, yet so many people miss out on it:

Whenever you get an award, win something, or get some sort of recognition, celebrate it publicly.

That is, if it’s something that adds credibility to the ‘persona’ you’re building on LinkedIn.

Check this post out, for example:

If you notice Lucy’s headline, you’ll see that photography is very important to her.

It’s part of that persona she’s building on LinkedIn.

So, by simply sharing something she achieved (in this case, a photography award), she’s positioning herself in the right way for her audience.

Now, we don’t win awards every day, so these types of posts are not possible all the time.

But when it does happen, take advantage of it.

Building credibility & authority is what marketing is all about.

And these types of content are your chance to actually do it.
